Cathy Hill, PT, Certified MDT, Owner

Cathy Hill, PT, Certified MDT graduated from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Therapy. She has worked in various outpatient settings in Toronto, Rochester, and Connecticut before opening Physical Therapy Services of Rochester in 1993. She has extensive experience in orthopedic physical therapy with a particular interest in spine treatment.

Cathy is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and participates in the Private Practice, Orthopedic, and Sports Sections. She serves on the Reimbursement Committee of the NYAPTA, district rep of NYAIPT, the Rochester Independent Practice Association PT Advisory Committee, and is past president of the Rochester Physical Therapy Alliance.

Paul Hodges, PT, Certified MDT

Paul Hodges, PT, Certified MDT graduated from Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY in 1992. He was certified in the McKenzie Method of spine treatment in 1996. Paul's focus is orthopedics with specialties in therapies of the spine, foot/ankle, and the shoulder. His philosophy is that each person heals himself or herself and his job as a physical therapist is to provide them with the tools, education, guidance, and treatment so they can reach and maintain their goal of wellness. Paul has been recently certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor.

Jenni Tuller, PT, MS, Certified MDT

Jenni Tuller, PT, MS, Certified MDT earned her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Ithaca College in 2000. The first years she practiced were spent at Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY. She has trained extensively in the Duffy-Rath and the McKenzie treatment methods for spine and extremities. She has also trained in vestibular rehabilitation, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), hypo-functioning, cervicogenic dizziness, and cervical stabilization. Recently, she has devoted a significant time in her practice and studies to treatment of migraines and cervical headaches. Jenni feels that the best results come from focused treatment including manual therapy, joint mobility, soft tissue mobilization, and patient participation with home exercises programs and education.

Valerie Pantanelli, PT, MS, Certified MDT, CSCS

Valerie Pantanelli, PT, MS, Cert. MDT, CSCS graduated from University of Connecticut. She practiced at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Bethesda, Maryland before moving to Rochester in 2007. Valerie is a member of the APTA and the McKenzie Institute. She has trained extensively in the McKenzie method and became certified in October 2008. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (issued by the NSCA), has participated in continuing education courses on the principles of Gary Gray's applied functional science, and is currently undergoing preparation for the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Examination issued by the APTA. She has also spent time in Crete, Greece assisting physiotherapists in the intensive care unit, and worked in rural Jamaica as a community volunteer providing physical therapy to underprivileged children with disabilities. Valerie believes that the best treatment is administered through a therapeutic alliance with her patients being active participants in their care. She also believes that a thorough treatment starts with obtaining a complete history and includes joint/soft tissue mobilization with a comprehensive home program that fits the patient's impairment and lifestyle.

Susan Hawley, PT

Susan Hawley, PT graduated from Russell Sage College with her Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. She has owned two private practices in California and recently returned to her hometown in Upstate New York. She has extensive experience in outpatient sports as well as orthopedic spine care, with training under Paris, Rocabado, Grimsby, Cyriax, and McKenzie as well as teaching with Rocabado and Grimsby. She has also taught joint mobilization at Stanford University and TMJ/Craniomandibular care to physical therapists, speech therapists and dentists both here and in the San Francisco areas. She is co-founder of Independent Physical Therapists in the S.F. Bay area and has worked closely with the APTA California House of Delegates.

Elisabeth (Lisa) Maves, Administrator

Elisabeth (Lisa) Maves, Administrator came to Rochester in 1970 from Downstate. She has over 30 years in clinical office management and operations. Having been with Physical Therapy Services of Rochester since its inception, Lisa has developed a very patient friendly clerical staff for the practice. She is extensively experienced with the ever changing and challenging medical insurance practices, while coordinating the clinical scheduling and maintaining the patient and referral bases.
